Patricia Ann Hendricks

Patricia earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree from Phoenix Union Area Vocational Center in 1971. She earned her Registered Nurse degree from Maricopa Community College in Phoenix in 1975. Prior to her employement as the Director of the Surgery Department at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX Patricia worked for many years as a pediatric nurse in AZ and TX. She also worked as a Medical Intensive Care Nurse at Audie Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Col. Sylvester Hendricks; mother, Carol Hendricks; and brother, David Hendricks.

She is survived by her devoted partner of 30 years, Vera Faye Coleman of Bulverde, TX; sisters, Jean Neill of Sparks, NV, Diane Wiggins of Marshall, TX, Marcia Fair of San Jose, CA, Karen Demeritt of Kinder, LA, Cindy Curtis of Kapaa, Kaui; brothers, Steven Hendricks of West Bend, WI, Ronald Hendricks of Camp Verde, AZ; and stepfather, Robert Jones of Bulverde, TX.

Patricia was an avid bowler and traveled to bowling tournaments throughout the United States. She and her partner also enjoyed cruise ship vacations.

The family would like to give a thank you to the ICU nurses and Palliative Care Team at St. Luke's Medical Center, as well as the devoted nurses and staff at Odyssey Hospice for their professional, compassionate care of their loving sister Patricia.

In addition, the family wants to give a very special thank you to Debbie Meyer RN, Melanie Heath RN and all of Patricia's coworkers at North Central Baptist Hospital for their compassion, love, care and donations of meals and funds for Patricia's family during their difficult time.
