Patricia Ann Horner

Patricia “Patty” Ann Horner (Caples), 65 of San Antonio, TX passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 14th, 2023. Patty was born in Johnstown, PA on April 16th, 1958, to Albert "Skip” and Ruth (Ewel) Caples. She graduated with honors from Johnstown High School in 1976.

Patty married Byron "B.K." Horner, and together they had 2 children, Mindy (Horner) Fox and Christopher Horner. She worked as an office supervisor, a home maker and caretaker for her disabled son, Christopher. Patty loved her children and her family like no other! She enjoyed reading romance novels, cleaning while dancing to Motown music, collecting cookbooks, breezing through crossword puzzles, vacationing in Myrtle Beach with her family, laughing at her husband’s antics, and decorating the entire house for Christmas. She was also an accomplished bargain shopper. Patty was so passionate and loving that she opened her home to anyone and everyone who needed her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to so many people who loved her. Patty was never happier than when she was raising her children, spending time with her niece and nephews, and especially when she became a grandmother to her grand baby, “Ally Pie”.

Patty is survived by her loving husband, B.K., daughter Mindy (Horner) Fox, her husband Stephen Fox, Jr. and granddaughter Ally Grace, son Christopher Horner, niece Misty (Jackson) Shaffer and her husband Kevin Shaffer and sons Cameron and Kayden, brother Michael Caples and his wife Ruth, sister Sara “Sally” Malcolm, and her two honorary daughters, Susan Intihar and Rachel Stoicsitz and Rachel’s son, Keshav who was like another nephew to her. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Albert Caples, brother Richard Caples, In-laws Dorothy (Frick) and Lester Horner.
