Patricia Hutcherson

On September 27, Patricia Hutcherson went home to God and family. She will be missed by her many family and friends. Patricia grew up in south San Antonio, attended Southside High School, went on to complete a degree in Business Administration from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton then was part of the first graduating MBA class from University of the Incarnate Word. She joined the family at Casa Rio and Schilo’s in 1973, where she worked alongside the Lyons Family, as CFO, until her retirement in 2008. During her tenure at Los Leones, she served as President of San Antonio Professional Secretaries Association, Secretary of the Year, President of the San Antonio Restaurant Association and a staple in the downtown community.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jim and her daughter, Heidi, both of San Antonio; Sisters and Brothers-in-law Eileen and Dean Fox, Beth and Richard Paxton; her brother Chris Ernst and her beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Melba Ernst; grandparents, Alta and David Bradshaw; Christopher and Sarah Ernst.

The family would like to thank the Lyons family for embracing us as family, their love and support; Katie Galvez for taking care of Pat and Jim over these past few years; Sisters at Incarnate Word Elderly Care, Michelle and Rosalinda; Compassus Hospice Care and Debbie Lemons; Carter Health Care and Doctors at your Service, Neurology Institute and Dr. Gazda for all of their care and assistance during this time.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial on Austin Highway with a private burial for family at Ft Sam Houston. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
