

Patricia Lewis Zoch Tate, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2005.
Patsy was the daughter of Elizabeth Kercheville and Frank Peter Zoch, Jr., an oil and gas operator and co-founder of Sedco.
She was preceded in death by beloved son, Belton Kleberg "Kley" Johnson, Jr. and brother, Frank Peter Zoch, III. Patsy was born on May 7, 1934 in San Antonio and grew up in Corpus Christi.
She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and graduate from Finch College in New York City. She was married to Belton Kleberg Johnson deceased.
They lived on the Chaparrosa Ranch in La Pryor, Texas, where they reared their three children. After moving to San Antonio, she married John Howard Ferguson, III who preceded her in death.
She had been married to Royce Tate at the time of her death for six years. She was a member of the San Antonio Country Club, The Argyle Club, Club Giraud, and The Valley Club, Sun Valley, ID.
Patsy enjoyed quail hunting in South Texas and pheasant shooting in Scotland. Her other interests included writing poetry, painting and golf.
Surviving family includes husband, Royce D. Tate; daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Steve Pitt, Ceci and Mark McMurrey, all of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law, Cecilia and her husband, George Hager of Kerrville; grandchildren, Sarita Pitt, Allegra Pitt, Stephen Pitt, Jr., Alice Johnson, Henry Kley Johnson, Harry McMurrey, Belton McMurrey and Estella McMurrey; sister, and brother-in-law, Fran and Joe Fulton; sister-in-law, Mimi Zoch; other survivors include stepchildren, Carter and Celia Tate, Lula and Jonathan Martin, and Elizabeth Tate Fitzpatrick and their families.
The family would like to especially thank all of Patsy's caring staff; Joan Buenrostro, Peter Rosie, Chong Hui Wallace, Denise Robeson, Cindy Rodriguez and Pete Sloan.
