Patrick A. Lubianski passed away on September 20, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Born in St. Hedwig, Texas, Pat grew up on a nearby farm with his parents and four siblings. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1966 and served honorably for four years during the Vietnam war, aboard destroyers USS Conway and USS Porterfield.
After his military service, Pat returned to Texas and settled in San Antonio. He started a family and worked at North East Independent School District as an audio/visual technician for 28 years. Pat loved living in the San Antonio area, especially for its proximity to spots where he could hunt and fish. He spent much of his time on the water and in the Hill Country.
Pat valued his friendships and often helped others with house, car, and boat repairs; always game to fix whatever was broken, particularly if it involved having a drink together after the work was done. In his later years, he found community at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8541 and volunteered in fundraising for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Pat is survived by his son, Troy (Sarah); grandson, Arlo; and siblings Rodney and Dianelle. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgie and Bonnie; siblings Joyce and Coradine; and the love of his life, Patsy.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Project or your local VFW Post.
