Patsy Laverne Rudisill, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, departed this life on October 5, 2023. Born on June 7, 1942, in Bastrop, TX, she was the cherished fourth child among ten siblings to Jody and Eleanor Miller. During her younger years, the family frequently relocated. Patsy told stories about a simple childhood with time spent enjoying her family, playing with siblings, and picking cotton to support her family's financial needs.
Patsy's heart found its match in Clyde Rudisill while he served in the U.S. Air Force at Bergstrom AFB. Their journey together, marked by military relocations, blessed them with two beautiful children. An active member of her community, Patsy was a committed volunteer at Cable Elementary and Anson Jones Middle School. She remained a proud lifetime member of the TX PTA. Following the sudden loss of Clyde, she began a 14-year career at Anson Jones Middle School's cafeteria, retiring in 2007.
With a spirit defined by kindness and simplicity, those fortunate to know her will profoundly feel Patsy's absence.
In remembrance, Patsy joins her late husband, Clyde R. Rudisill; her parents, Jody and Eleanor; brothers IraJoe, Billy, Sonny, and Wesley Miller; and sisters BettyJane Morales and Naomi Kelley. Leaving to cherish her memory are her children, Carol F. Houston (Robert) and Clyde D. Rudisill; beloved grandchildren, James and Brian Buffalo and Cody and Dylan Houston; sisters Nellie Rogers, Theron Foster, and CarolAnn Farmer, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
