

He was a graduate of Alamo Heights High School where he was active in the ROTC program. Wesley loved spending time with his daughters and gathering with his family. He was gifted with a personality filled with compassion, generosity and affection. He would burst into a room relaying an event with animated energy, laughter and humor leaving all those around him smiling and laughing.
Wesley is preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Crawford.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie and Aubrey Crawford; their mother, Rachael Vitela; his mother, Sally Van de Putte and her husband, Rocky Rochelle; his brother, Matthew Crawford and his fianc, Suzanne Spaulding and their daughter, Taylor; his sisters, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Jason and their son, Kelton, Trina Farguson and her husband, Dean, Christine Rochelle and her son, Cole; grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Hodnett, Paul and Lois Crawford and Rocky and Bea Rochelle; numerous aunts and uncles; as well as "sisters and brothers" also known as his cousins.
Wesley persevered in his quest for recovery and a healthy productive life. He knew life in recovery would bring him the peace he so deeply desired. He wishes his passing to be a sign of the power of the disease of addiction to those on the road to recovery. The family gives their heartfelt gratitude to all those who so lovingly assisted him on this journey.
