

Paulino Alejandro Luna peacefully entered into rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the age of 80 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born February 8, 1935 to Juan Luna and Cleotilde Alejandro in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
In December 1955 Paul married Anita Vazquez. They have six children.
Paul and Anita immigrated to the U.S. along with their first 3 children at the age of 27. For 2 years he was employed in agriculture in the state of Arkansas. He and his family then made their home in Amarillo, Texas for the next 47 years. In April, 2010, he and Anita moved to San Antonio.
Paul and Anita raised their family in Amarillo and enjoyed lifelong friendships made within their community. Paul worked hard and helped others. He loved serving His Lord and Savior and participated actively at Christian Life Center (Amarillo), La Cosecha (Amarillo) and New Harvest Assembly of God (San Antonio).
After moving to San Antonio they were able to spend more time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Paul and Anita recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. He was lovingly referred to as “Cowboy” by his grandchildren. He was a man who enjoyed life and the fruit of his labor.
He is survived by the love of his life, Anita; six children Bella Mendoza (Eli), Paul Luna (Velma), Fernando Luna (Raquel), Susan Vargas (Alfred), Rose Chase (Robert), Debbie Duran; 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters: Teresa Luna and Cleo Commons; his brothers: Adam, Pantaleon, and Ricardo Luna; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Jeffers (sister), and Juan Luna (brother).
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Sunday, January 24th, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Tx. 78238. A service will be held Monday, January 25th, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 11624 W Culebra Rd.
