Perry Edward Woelke

Perry Edward Woelke, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. He was born in Seguin, Texas on September 17, 1939 to Laura and Helmuth (Red) Woelke. Perry graduated from Alamo Heights High School in the "Class of 1958". He married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Jakeman, and had three children, Perry(Buddy), Christine and Stacey. The family moved to Houston in 1972 where Perry was employed with the Whirlpool Corporation. He retired after 30 years. Perry is prededed in death by his parents and loving wife Joyce. He is survived by his 3 children, Perry (Buddy) Woelke, Christine Cunningham and her husband Tom and Stacey Hazlewood and her husband Michael. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary Woelke and James (Jim) Woelke and is wife Clarice. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Brent Woelke, Keith Cunningham, Austin Hazlewood and Kevin Cunningham along with 3 great-grandchildren, Kameron Cunningham, Hailey Hazlewood and Kennedi Cunningham.

Visitation will begin Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 12:00PM with a Celebration of Life to be held at 2:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of Perry's doctors, the staff at Emeritus at Lincoln Heights, as well as the staff of Christus Sister Mary Hospice for their loving care.
