Peter R. Crisostomo, 96, died Monday, September 29, 2014. He was born in the Philippines April 29, 1918 to Benigo & Diega Roma Crisostomo. Mr. Crisostomo was one of the last surviving Philippine Scouts during World War II and as a POW he escaped from the Bataan Death March by jumping off the train. He is preceded in death by, Adela Pucci.
Survived by wife of 72 years, Olivia; children, Ernesto G. Crisostomo and Francisco G. Crisostomo; 6 grandchildren, Paul Crisostomo, Melissa Gatesuwan, Michael Peter Crisostomo, Casey A. Crisostomo, Darren A. and Jayden Crisostomo; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Maximo R. Crisostomo, Filomena Sanchez, Emilia Artates, Maria Sanguyo, and Adelaida Feliciano.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 between 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Following the service, Mr. Crisostomo will be cremated and his ashes will be interred at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
