Petra Rosales

Petra Rosales passed away at the age of 73 in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on May 19, 1951, to Francisco and Pascuala Ureste, she carried with her the weight of a life well-lived, rich in both accomplishments and love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond P. Rosales, and her sister Aurora Ureste.

She leaves behind her children: Mona Rosales (J. Delgado), Raymond Rosales (Desiree), and Michael Rosales (Vanessa); grandchildren: Kierre M. Vaughns, Abcde Rosales, Sedeja Rosales, Alexis Rosales, Gabriella Rosales, Zoe Rosales, and Michael Antonio Rosales; siblings: Manuel Ureste, Mario Ureste, Diana Guerrero, Sylvia Rodriguez, Rosie Ureste, and Frank Ureste; along with many extended family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Petra understood the simple joys life had to offer. Some of her favorite moments were spent fishing at dawn, hitting a jackpot at the slots, and being surrounded by the laughter of her grandchildren. She loved wholeheartedly, especially Raymond, her husband, with an unwavering tenderness.

In her presence, people found comfort and guidance. She was the person you turned to for support, the person who listened and found a way to help without ever asking for anything in return. Her every action spoke louder than words. Although her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, her spirit, kindness, and love remain, woven into the memories of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

An interment service will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home on February 21st from 2:00 pm — 3:30 pm.
