Philip W. McKinnon

Philip W. McKinnon, age 60, went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2019. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 16, 1959. Philip graduated from Winston Churchill High School and went on to work for the Frito Lay Company for many years. After his children, Caleb and Tina, told him they needed more "Daddy Time," he went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Philip was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who will be greatly missed.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb and Naomi McKinnon; his brothers, Gerald and David McKinnon; and his daughter, Nicki Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Iris; his children, Ivory Henri (Alteri), Caleb McKinnon (Maria), Keith Edwards (Amie), Patricia Edwards, Dominique Fullen (Will), and Amber Wadsworth; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Byron McKinnon (Hella) and Eileen McKinnon.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16th from 6-8 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 7:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Missionary Baptist Church at www.bethanysanantonio.com.
