Rachel’s life can best be described as family oriented. In her 53 years of life, Rachel made a significant impact here on Earth by the way she fiercely loved her family and her spirited personality.
In her younger years, Rachel spent most of her time outdoors and was very active. She would ride her bike all over the neighborhood visiting friends and looking for new adventures. She took ballet and tap dancing lessons with her cousin Denise with whom she was inseparable. She also participated in Girl’s Scouts.
Rachel graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1990 and then attended Palo Alto College in San Antonio,Texas. She was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in 2002 and was unable to finish her degree. She had aspired to become an architect or fashion designer.
Rachel was extremely creative and was called on by her family for her opinion on decorating or how best to put an outfit together. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was always in the middle of a project. Rachel had a small business where she made soaps, creams and linen sprays. She began making creams to soothe the arthritis she suffered from with things like emu oil. It was very effective and was a hit with customers. Family was everything to her and she loved to plan holiday events and looked forward to seeing all her relatives during those times.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Mario Campos, her daughter Carlie Campos, son Mario Campos Jr., parents Santiago and Beatrice Trevino, sister Serena Perez, mother- in- law Helen Campos, brother- in- law Andrew Campos, nephews Johnny Muniz Jr., Andrew Campos Jr. and nieces Candace Muniz, Alexandria Perez, and Bryanna Cruz.
