Ralph Edward Myers, born on July 11, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Claudia and Ralph Myers, passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 85.
Ralph shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean Scott. During their courtship, Ralph’s family moved away. Not wanting to be apart anymore, Ralph and Donna decided to get married. Together, they raised four children: Lori, Scott, Darren, and David.
Ralph embarked on a successful career at Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes, dedicating 30 years to the company. This career not only provided for his family but also allowed them to enjoy the delights of Hostess snacks. Later, he continued his professional journey at Altex Computers and Electronics as Chief Operating Officer.
Beyond his professional and family life, Ralph had a passion for golf. He founded the San Antonio Rules of Golf Group and served on the board of the Texas Golf Association. He was also a USGA committee member. His love for the sport extended to the airwaves, where he discussed the rules of golf on a weekly radio show.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his children Lori Bruner (Jeffrey), Scott Myers (Kathy), Darren Myers (Paula), and David Myers (Debbie); as well as his 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish his memory. Also surviving are his brother John (Lisa) Myers, and his sister Janet (George) Rohde.
Visitation will be at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N. loop 1604 E., San Antonio Texas 78232.
