

Raul De Luna peacefully passed away August 31,2024. He was born August 21, 1931 in Raymondville, Texas to Maurilia Torres De Luna and Reymundo De Luna. He married the love of his life, Santos Medina De Luna, November 5, 1954.
Raul was a military man who joined the Army at age 18 and served two tours of duty each in Korea and in Vietnam. He served his country for 20 years where he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class before he retired.
After his retirement from the military, Raul and his family settled in San Antonio, Texas where he began taking college classes to begin a new career in civilian life. He eventually opened his own home appliance repair business, and after many successful years in that business, he decided to retire to enjoy his life with Santos by his side.
Raul is survived by his six children, Delia De Luna Dreiss and husband Martin, Linda Galvez and husband Sal, Jeanie Jensen, Lee De Luna, Ed De Luna and wife Ruby, and Michael De Luna and wife Yolanda. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and sisters, Beatrice Ahrendt and Flor Gutierrez and husband Hector. In addition, he is survived by his in-laws Bene Medina, Rita Del Rio, Paulita Becerra, and Guadalupe Medina and wife Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Sal Louis Galvez.
Raul’s loving wife, Santos, passed away October 11, 2022. She was always his guiding light and shining beacon of love and hope throughout their lives together. When she left this world for a much better place, he wanted to join her three days later. Finally, he is with the love of his life for all eternity and is happy once again.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
