Raul Saldana, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in San Antonio. He was born on August 10, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents, Eloisa and Rudolpho Saldana. Raul was beloved by everyone who knew him, from family to his numerous clients. He was an extremely talented hairdresser, well known in San Antonio for his work with the Order of the Alamo and ’09 celebrations for several decades. His talents ensured that the Fiesta Court ladies always looked radiant.
Raul is survived by his beloved husband of 36 years, Frank Blanchard; brother, Edward Saldana, sister, Lucy Saldana-Martinez; and fur-babies, Lady Sophie and George Harry. He is preceded in death by his parents and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Beth Knowlton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church or the San Antonio Humane Society.
