He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration FAA for over 40 years.
Raymond enjoyed golf, reading, listening to music, and was very creative and talented in assembling model airplanes, boats, vehicles and made extravagant dollhouses, and was very proud of his grandchildren.
He had recently taken up gardening prior to his illness.
Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Ochoa; his parents, Ramon and Maria Ochoa; and his brother, Jose L. Ochoa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cleodine Ochoa; his son, Ray Ochoa IV; his daughter, Carrie Ann Richardson, husband Kevin, and grandsons, Ryan Thomas and Chase Allen Richardson, all of La Porte, TX; sisters, Frances Garza, husband Armando of Taft, TX, Amelia Estaba, husband Frank of Venezuela, Alejandra Pena, husband Ruben, Yolanda Pena, husband Ramiro, Virginia Ramirez, husband Sammy, all of Portland, TX and Mary Brown of Sinton, TX.
