Raymond Joseph Schreiber

Ray was born on May 12, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas and grew up in Windthorst, Texas. He has been a resident of San Antonio for more than 50 years. He was preceded in death by his father John Paul Schreiber and his brother Ronald Schreiber. He held a BBA degree in Accounting from St. Mary's University. He was the president of Ray Schreiber, Inc., a bookkeeping and tax service corporation for more than 40 years.

Ray was the past president of the Northside Lions Club and the St. Luke's Men's Club. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus 4140.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Jane; daughter Jennifer Fitzpatrick and husband Michael; daughter Allison Jensen and husband Kris; three grandsons, Liam Fitzpatrick, Ethan and Carter Jensen his three kings! He is also survived by his mother Gertrude Schreiber, and his loving siblings: Joann Schreiber Murillo and Gil; Marge Schreiber Baumhardt and Jim; J.P. Schreiber and Vicki; Jane Schreiber Johnson and Mike; David Schreiber and Nelda.

Ray had many family members and lifelong friends that dearly loved him and his gentle spirit. Over the years, there have been so many individuals who knew and cared for Ray. We could not have managed without the support of our families and friends. For 7 years, Pete Irwin has been his spiritual support visiting Ray twice a week to bring him Communion. We have had nurses, therapists and a host of individuals that have touched our lives forever, brought together by Ray. Our thanks to the staff of All Care Home Health, Christus Santa Rosa, Christus Hospice, Methodist Transplant and Life Care Hospitals. We would especially like to thank Drs. Ronald Garcia, Charles Duncan, Fred Guerra, Stephanie Jones, Sarina Flores, Chauna Rana and their staff for their professional care over the years. Our special thanks to Wendy Tillotson of Christus Santa Rosa.

Visitation will be Thursday January 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North with rosary at 7 p.m.

Interment will follow at Mission Park Burial North. Honorary pallbearers, Bill Tsakopulos, Tom Tsakopulos, Chris Irvin and the members of the Northside Lions Club.
