Rev. Ken Coffee, age 87, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in San Antonio. He was born in West Hempstead, NY but spent most of his life and his 67 years of ministry in Texas, including pastoring Harlandale Baptist Church (San Antonio) and serving on staff with both the San Antonio Baptist Association and the Baptist General Convention of Texas, who awarded him their Legacy Award in 2018. He was recognized as a Life Deacon at First Baptist Church of San Antonio, where he taught a Sunday Morning Bible Study class for the past 20 years. Ken loved God and loved teaching Gods Word.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha L. Coffee and his two older sisters, Mary "Tweety" Buzzard and Shirley Brown. Ken is survived by his younger sister, Evelyn Richardson of Amarillo, Texas and his children, Risa Kacir (Chad) and Blake Coffee (Kappie), 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to One Another Project or to First Baptist Church of San Antonio Television Ministry.
