Ricardo Aaron Garcia

Ricardo Aaron Garcia Sr., beloved husband, father and grandfather entered into the loving arms of our Lord on January 9, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 1, 1944 to Ernesto H. Garcia and Elisa Garza.

Ricardo graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1963 and joined the United States Air Force from 1963-1967. Ricardo met his beautiful wife Dolores Mireles in a little café in San Antonio in September of 1974 and the two married on May 18, 1975. Ricardo had many hobbies in life. He loved to spend his time fishing, rooting on his favorite teams the Washington Redskins #HTTR, San Antonio Spurs, Texas Tech Red Raiders, listening to music, spending time with his family, photography, studying his family’s history through ancestry, politics, coin collecting and most importantly he loved his margaritas.

Ricardo is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Maria (Chita), Ernesto, Gertrude, Armando, Rosa and Herminia (Minnie).

Ricardo will always be remembered by his loving beautiful wife, Dolores Garcia and children Ricardo (Rick) A. Garcia Jr. (Vanessa) and Michael A. Garcia, three amazing grandchildren: Michael, Aaliyah and Isaiah Garcia, his sister in law Margie Mireles and many more caring and loving family members.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to all of the medical staff at Audie Murphy VA Hospital, you did an amazing job caring for Ricardo, we are forever grateful.
