Hi, 
I never knew Richard, but perhaps I just bought a book he used to own from a used bookstore near me. Did he ever show an interest in handwriting analysis? I found a sample of his handwriting still in the book. It is on the back side of a "Review Note for Proficiency Examination" of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Texas, dated 5/9/75. The sample is signed "Richard G Brown", and this is how I found this site. 
If you think this could be his handwriting sample, I would be happy to scan it in and send it to you. His last line was "I love life and friends and people and God. I have been very lucky in my life." He sounds like a great guy.

My father Frank Gourley and Ricky were fierce competitors on the track and friends off the track.I was just a little kid growing up watching my dad and Ricky battle it out on the race tracks in and around the San Antonio area for several years. Ricky was one of my heros and I could not wait to see him at the racetrack. What I remember most is his passion for the sport of motorcycles.I am sure Ricky lived life to its fullest and will be missed by all who knew him. God Speed Ricky Brown.

Ricky was such a kind gentle man to our entire family. I will lovingly remember him as a great friend of my father as well as someone who took an interest in my well being. Although I knew Ricky for a short time I will certainly miss him. I have always been a good judge of charecter but with Ricky one did not have to be. The world has truly lost a true hero, gentelman, and friend. God Speed Ricky!

Ricky Brown and I were not best friends by any means. We met in the 70's; he was parts mgr at Cycle World, I was a salesman calling on him. Even though we were never really close, he touched my life, he influenced me, he was always nice to me, he took time to know me, and he helped me. I'll never forget him. As evidenced at the services today, it is apparent that he touched a great many more lifes than just mine. He is truly a rich testimony of what friendship and love really is.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Ricky always treated me like a true freind. I spoke to him for the first time in 21yrs. last friday. I am glad that circumstances made me search for his number and allow me to talk to him. Again, I am very sorry.

 It really was a shock to read this in this morning's paper. I'll always have fond memories of Ricky's smile and always good nature. I can't ever remember seeing him be angry or turn anyone down that needed help with a car problem.
