'I worked with Dick in the early 1990's at DCSSA. I was the computer support guy from Dallas. He always was a very pleasant person and enjoyed the opportunity to work with him. The picture is exactly the way I remember him.'

'Dick was the first of many great men that I have the honor of saying are my Uncles. As a child I was always excited to know when the next visit from Uncle Dick, Aunt Kay, Brett, and Shawn was occurring. There was never any doubt how proud my Grandparents were of all of their children, and Dick was no exception. We were always kept informed when the next visit was going to happen by Grandpa. As we all grew older and new families developed, Dick was always interested and caring to what was happening in our lives as well as with our children. Paige had a great time with her Grandma, Uncle Dick and Aunt Kay during her Texas visit. I am very thankful for a visit they made a few years ago that allowed Dick to ride along with Dad, Pat and I during a round of "golf". Dick had gotten word that his youngest brother wanted to spend some time with him so he decided to play "Fluff" to Pat's Tiger imitation. We all had a great time even though Uncle Dick would not stay quiet for more than thirty seconds at a time. It is a day that I will always remember. His wit, smile, and caring will be missed. We love you Uncle Dick.'

'God has blessed and is looking over the Barrett family. Dick is a wonderful person married to a wonderful woman and is a wonderful father. He lived the life God wanted--to love God above all else, love his neighbors and to seek the Kingdom of Heaven. We miss him today, but look forward to a glorious reunion.
