Richard Crispin Martinez Jr.

He was preceded in death by, his father Richard S. Martinez and his mother, Bertha G. Martinez. Richard is survived by his stepfather Reynaldo G. Acosta; brother Daniel G. Martinez (Wife: Maria); sister Bonnie M. Mahoney (Husband: Shane); nieces, Melissa M. Favela, Savanna N. Torres (Husband: Anastacio), and Danielle Martinez; nephew, Brian K. Mahoney; one great nephew Gabriel Reynosa; one great-great niece Gianna Reynosa; and one great-great nephew Gabriel Reynosa Jr. Richard was a great cook and baker. He was the family’s personal chef. He always made sure he made enough food for second servings or for the family to enjoy to go meals the next day. He also loved listening to all genres of music. His favorite male and female artists were Juan Gabriel and Jenny Rivera. Richard was a plant person and had a green thumb. He had a great sense of humor and willingly shared his funny jokes with us all at every opportunity, which we will forever treasure. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, January 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 1321 El Paso St, San Antonio, TX 78207.
