Born on February 13, 1966, at Ft. Cavazos (formerly Ft. Hood), Texas, Robert grew up surrounded by the values of faith, service, and love of country. He attended Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, TX and graduated from General H.H. Arnold American High School in Wiesbaden, Germany. He went on to attend San Antonio College, the University of Louisiana Monroe, and the National Protective Services Institute.
Robert met the love of his life, Suzette Stark, on a blind date. They married on June 20, 1998, and built a strong, joyful life together for 26 years, raising two wonderful children, Jaidyn and William.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Bobby and Dolores Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Suzette Allen; daughter, Jaidyn Allen; and son, William Allen. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sheryl Allen, Steven Allen (Debbie), John Allen (Lisa), and Patricia Gibson, his Aunt Nadine Havard; cousins Paul Havard, Karen Lamb; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He is also survived by his dedicated fur babies, Buddy, Brutus, Diva, and Maca2.
Robert served as CEO of Michael P. Kaliski Investigations, the oldest criminal defense investigations agency in Bexar County. He brought integrity, wisdom, and a deep sense of justice to his work.
He was also a dedicated lifetime member and volunteer of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo International Committee. Known for his boisterous voice, kind eyes, and signature walking stick adorned with colorful rodeo handkerchiefs, Robert brought joy to countless international and military visitors as he led tours of the rodeo and livestock grounds. His passion for this work was unmatched.
Robert never met a stranger. He was a bright light, a mentor, and a friend to all who knew him. His life was a testament to love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amanda Bucheit, Jake Ribak, Dr. Jose Cruz, Dr. Judith Hernandez, Dr. Saleh Jafar, Dr. John Gresham, the staff at Methodist Stone Oak ICU, Mwansa Lombe, and many others for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks also go to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo International Committee and to the dear friends from the ACTS Retreat who provided unwavering support during Robert’s illness. We are forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. Scholarship Fund, which supports educational opportunities for Texas youth—an organization and cause close to Robert’s heart.
A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Porter Loring Mortuary - North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
