Robert Bob Hill

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend who blessed thousands of people during his life.

He valued his relationship with Christ, and his family above all.

Born and raised in Clear Lake, Iowa, Bob was earning his way through college when WWII called him to service in North Africa with the Army Air Corps. He then served in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Major.

Bob continued his education, obtaining a masters degree in Biology. Bob married Virginia Anne Freund in 1946, building a family of five children before her death in 1970. He married Esther Groves in 1973, and gained another son.

Bob was a member of Community Bible Church, and a former member of St. George and Resurrection Episcopal Churches.

He is survived by three of his six siblings, his children Greg and Dollie Hill, Mike and Susie Hill, Pam Wells, Tricia and Mike Kubena, Melissa and Tim Connally, Morgan and Anne Groves, grandchildren Brian Hill, John Groves, Stephen Hill, Lana Hill-Little, Susan Groves, Lori Quackenbush, April Connally, Sarah Hill, Justin Connally, Billy Wells, Kristi Wells, Courtney Connally, Lauren Kubena and five great-grandchildren.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas.
