He was born November 13, 1931 in New York, New York to Emmanuel and Margaret Klein. He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a kind and generous friend to all. He was a retired veteran, a good cook, and a true NY Giants fan.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Klein; grandsons, Robert J. Klein III and Thomas M. Klein; brother, Martin Klein, and sister, Margaret Klein. Robert is survived by son, Robert J. Klein, Jr. (Laura); daughter, Donna M. Stack (Robert); daughter, Stacy A. Festger(Richard); grandchildren: Suzanne (Daniel), Joseph, Michael (Suzanne), Amy, Christine, Lisa (Reid); great grandchildren, Cayden and Dylan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Services will be held at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Porter Loring Mortuary West 1710 W Loop 1604 San Antonio, TX 78251. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
