Robert E. "Bob" Leland

Robert Earl Leland, born July 12, 1937 to George and Susie Leland of Upton, Massachusetts, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 after a lengthy battle with illness. Known as “Bob” to his family and friends, he is survived by: Ann, his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, their four children and spouses David & Vicky Leland, Bobby & Tammy Leland, Sandy & Pat Kotara, and Jeff & Jeanie Leland; 10 grandchildren Tammy, Jenny, Darrell, Megan, Bryan, Amanda, Eric, Monica, Lindsey, and Jessica; 3 great-grandchildren Seth, Mylie, and Mary Claire; and his siblings and their spouses George & Shirley Leland, Barbara Marques, Joan & Don Bernardi, Susan &Tony Bonina, and Richard & Annette Leland. Bob had a successful career in San Antonio that included employment with Remco, Turbine Support, Fredericks, Azrock, and Sino-Swearingen. He was a long term parishioner of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, active in several spiritual ministries. Special appreciation is extended to Sr. Anne Drea, Terecita Willoughby and VITAS Hospice Care for their kind and caring support during Bob’s final weeks. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
