Hi Shirley, Suzie, and Michelle, Just a note to let you know that Bob's obituary in the Peoria paper brought back a lot of fond memories -- both of him and the rest of you! Trust (and pray) you're experiencing the Lord's presence and comfort during this time of grieving . . . grieving, but not like those who have no hope!

Dearest Shirley, Susie, & Michelle, 
We were so sorry to see that Bob has passed away. We saw it in the Peoria Journal Star and have passed on the knowledge to Grace Presbyterian Church. We have fond memories of Bob and your family. This next week is our VBS at GPC. In 1979 I had just given birth to Laura, so you took Sarah-Jane to VBS that year when she was 2 years old. That was 33 years ago. Then you invited us to join you on your trip to Estes Park, CO that July. We had such fun. We hiked up high with Bob and I carried little 4 month old Laura in a back carrier and I stopped to nurse her on a rock up in the mountains and then continued on our hike. It's hard for us to remember Bob when he was not smiling. He was a fun guy and a strong Christian. We would pass your house whenever we drove out of our subdivision. Remember when he devised Santa climbing up the side of your house at Christmas? We were sorry when you moved away. 
 Now BOB with new strong legs and a new healthy "body" is dancing and running with Jesus in the most glorious heaven we can only imagine.

Shirley, our deepest sympathies on Bob's passing. He was a good friend at Woodruff High School where we enjoyed good times in the band. His parents were very kind people, too. Glad we had the chance to visit with you and Bob a few years ago.

Dear Shirley, 
It was with sadness that we read Bob's obit in the Peoria Journal Star. It has been a few years since we visited you two in San Antonio. I remember fondly his sense of humor. Somewhere there is a video of him playing the uke and of me dancing the hula. At Caterpillar we travelled together on a couple of occasions. One was a trip to York, PA, where we flew over three-mile island on the day the nuclear reactor problem occurred. Bob commented that it didn't seem to cause us any problems; but he did observe that neither of us fathered anymore children. Just a couple of memories--you must have hundreds more. I am sorry to hear of Bobs passing, We will keep him in our prayers and thoughts. I served in the 313th EUD with Bob in Korea.

Bob was wonderful to work with. He wrote many patent applications for Southwest Research Institute. He always had a kind word and a positive attitude. It was my pleasure to know him and work with him. Please accept my sincere condolences. May God Bless You All. Shirley McDonald
