Rogelio (Roger) G. Pena,age 78, passed away May 23,2018. He was born in Charlotte, Texas on December 21,1939 to Vicente and Mary Pena. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Pena, of 52 years; children, Roger (Anjanette) Pena, David (Stefanie) Pena, Marisol (Robert) Medellin, Laura (Fernando) Chaparro and Daniel Pena; 12 grandchildren; brother Roman “Nick” Pena. In his childhood, Roger grew up on a family farm in Charlotte, TX. His family later moved to San Antonio where he graduated from Fox Tech High School. Roger served in the Army Reserve and retired with 28 years of Civil Service at Kelly AFB in 1993. Roger loved being in the outdoors. Throughout his life, Roger was a farmer and rancher. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was especially passionate about raising cattle. He was a loving father, husband, and devout Christian.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Thursday May 31, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
