Rosa Elia Suárez was born on October 20, 1938, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila to Anacleto Rangel and Felicitas Ramirez. When Rosa was 36 years old, she moved to San Antonio, Texas with her husband Rogelio Suárez. They would soon welcome a beautiful family with two daughters, Rosa and Dinnorah. She spent her time between San Antonio and her hometown, visiting her family and talking for hours about new memories and sharing photos of their new families.
Rosa dedicated her life to her Catholic faith and worked many years within the church. She spread kindness in every aspect, from volunteering to making many donations to St. Margaret Mary Church and the San Fernando Cathedral. She brought laughter to every day and everyone she met, never afraid to talk with a stranger.
After her granddaughters Mia and Nina were born, she spent her life loving them every moment and teaching them how to cook a good meal. Rosa loved to talk about her childhood with her grandchildren. She shared stories of her parents and siblings and her life eating her favorite fruits and vegetables grown by her family.
If there were a few things she loved just as much as her family they would be dancing, coffee, and cookies. She loved to go dancing every weekend with loved ones and sharing a cup of coffee and cookies after. Rosa was a loving mother and grandmother, caring for her family with kindness, patience, and strength. Her commitment to family and faith leaves a legacy of love and hope for generations.
Rosa is survived by her two daughters: Rosa Hernandez and Dinnorah Garcia; her sister, Concepcion Sandoval; her brother, Jesus Rangel; her granddaughters, Mia and Nina Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Anacleto and Felicitas Rangel; her husband Rogelio Suárez; and her brother Anacleto Rangel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life and Rosary service at Porter Loring North 2102 N. Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas 78232 on December 13th at 9:30 a.m.
