Rose Virginia McEwen, age 74, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2012. She was born on April 25, 1937 in Vine Grove, KY to Thomas & Beatrice Shacklett. She was a member of the East End Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother & friend who will be dearly missed.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, George McEwen Sr.; daughter, Audrey McEwen; and grandson, Terrance McEwen.
She is survived by her loving children, George McEwen Jr. & wife Debra, Vanessa Arrad & husband Annur, Gregory McEwen & wife Cynthia, Ramona McEwen, Jacqueline Fay McEwen and Nathan McEwen & wife Hirele; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 with the Funeral Service to be at 12 noon at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
