Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, companion, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep January 14, 2013 after a lengthy series of serious health problems. Roseanna fought valiantly and bravely and never let on to the cruel pain that was ravaging her body. Born August 1, 1952, she is preceded in death by her daughters Laura Lynn, Libby Aletha and Chrissy Dawn Fehlis, parents Andy and Juanita McClintock and brother Michael Young. She is survived by her son Chuck Fehlis and wife Jamie, her sisters Linda Knight and Debbie Muir, her brother Tim McClintock, her precious grandchildren Samantha and Luke Fehlis, companion Jack Stone, and Natasha her "little shadow". She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, close family members and friends.
Roseanna was affectionately called "Little Mama" as she always took care of everyone she loved, which was so natural and a part of her "very being". Roseanna loved and was so proud of her children Chuck and Laura. Chuck grew up to be a loving, dedicated, husband, father and son. Laura was born with hydrocephalus and Roseanna dedicated her life for over 20 years to loving, caring, supporting and giving Laura the most wonderful and enriching life where Laura grew up knowing how much she was loved and how special she was to her family. Laura was her greatest supporter when Roseanna graduated and earned her nursing degree. For several years Roseanna served as a nurse in hospital nurseries with babies and the "baby's mamas" as she affectionately called them. Shortly after the death of her daughter Laura, Roseanna left nursing and became her Mother's personal nurse and best friend for over 10 years. When her Mother died, Roseanna began volunteering at "Trey's House", (a 501(c) (3) non-profit clubhouse dedicated to improving the lives of individuals suffering from acquired/traumatic brain injury and other stigmatized brain disorders), where she met and fell in love with Jack Stone, her soul mate, best friend and as she called him "the love of my life". After serving others over the years she reached a point in her life where she could begin a new life. She started dancing, wearing adorable and funny hats, laughing with abandon, and started singing with Jack at his play dates. She could do a killer "June Carter" to Jack's "Johnny Cash" impersonation of the song "Jackson". She loved gardening, decorating, photography, cooking, shopping garage sales and making people happy. Roseanna lived a life of service to all she loved and cherished. She was like a bright ray of sunshine, when she walked into the room, you felt her warmth and love. Her sweetness, easy going personality, her staunch defense of things she believed in, and her love and care touched so many lives. We will forever miss her unconditional love, positive encouragement, intense loyalty, great intellect, unwavering empathy, wry sense of humor, contagious smile and precious loving touch...
A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Roseanna's treasured charity, Trey's House, 515 Wayside, San Antonio, TX 78213.
