In April 1967, they were married. They enjoyed many years of dancing, deer hunting in the hill country and travel to Las Vegas to play the slots. After her children were grown, their children looked forward to visits with their Memmie, as she always had a sack full of candy and surprises that became known as the Memmie Bag. She loved her children and grandchildren, having a heart of gold.
