Ruby Marie Holton Griffin

She graduated from Karnes City High School in 1947. She then attended Southwest Texas State University where she earned a BBA, graduating in 1951.

She was a member of Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church in San Antonio for fifty-six years.

She met her future husband, Dennis Griffin, the first week of their freshman year at Southwest Texas State University.

They married two weeks after graduation on June 9, 1951.

She and Dennis lived in Luling and San Marcos for three years before moving to San Antonio.

She taught fifth grade and homebound students for twenty-three years for the San Antonio Independent School District.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sue Holton and her husband, Dennis Wayne Griffin, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Sherry McCann and husband, Jim; daughter, Kay Lynn Griffin; son, Dennis Wayne Griffin, Jr.; grandsons: James Edmund McCann, V and Ryan Griffin McCann.

Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
