Rudolfo Lopes

Rudolfo Lopes, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on September 22, 1930, in El Paso, Texas, to his parents. Jose and Guadalupe Munoz Lopes. Rudolfo proudly served his country during Vietnam in the United States Air Force; where after 20 years, he retired as Technical Sergeant. He went on to become a Pastor /Evangelist traveling to many places in the United States and Mexico with his wife by his side and preaching the Gospel of Good news bringing many to the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, He also had a track ministry and was long time Member and Bible Teacher of Iglesia Bautista Sur San Antonio Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rudy Lopes, II, grandson, Robert Balderrama, sister; Mary Lopez, brothers, Jose Lopez and Fernando Lopez, Rudolfo is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Carmen T. Lopes; daughter, Mary Garcia and her husband, Timothy, grandchildren: Sgt. Rudy Lopes III and his wife Sarahi, Cody Garcia and his wife, Milaina, Rhonda Garcia and her husband, Robert, and Timothy Garcia and his wife, Yvette; great grandchildren: Jacob Balderrama, Cameron Balderrama, Sirena Balderrama, Monica Balderrama, Brittany Balliger, Christopher Benavidez, Nathaniel Benavidez, Abigail Garcia, Lliana Garcia, Timothy Garcia, Manuel Garcia, and Jeremiah Garcia; Caleb Garcia, great great grandchildren Landon and Legend Smith, Colton and Elaina Balliger, his sister: Lupe Lopez, and daughter-in-law, Alma Lopes, several nieces and nephews.
