Ruth Elizabeth Delgado

Ruth was a woman of deep faith and a dedicated volunteer at Bright Morning Star Church. She had a love for arts and crafts, a special talent for nurturing plants, and a deep affection for her beloved pets. Ruth was also a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, never missing a game when she could help it.

She is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her loving parents, Hilda and Arturo Del Rio, and her late husband, Joe Delgado.

Ruth’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her devoted husband, Jose Guzman; her beloved children, Elizabeth DeHoyos, Ruben Reyes, Joe Delgado Jr., and Crystal Coronado; her grandchildren, and all those who were blessed to know and love her.

Ruth will be remembered for her generous heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her light will continue to shine in the lives she touched.

A Visitation for Ruth will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, located at 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. The family kindly asks all friends and family to meet at the cemetery on their own following the chapel service.
