Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her husband, Leonard L. Reed; her sons, Jerry Reed and Leonard Reed, Jr.; and her sisters, Betty and Shirley.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughters, Debra Reed (Mike) and Pamela Reed (Joey); her sons, Arlen Reed and Danny Reed (Claire), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy; her sister, Louise Pierce; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Ruth and Leonard were married on March 29, 1947, in Mankato, Kansas. They had celebrated their 70th anniversary immediately prior to Leonard's passing on April 7, 2017.
Ruth will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strength, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and loved.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
