Sam Neuman

He attended San Saba High School in San Saba, Texas, and then The University of Texas, where he met the love of his life, Harriet Lavine. They married on June 13, 1954, at Temple Beth-El where they have been long time members. They had a devoted marriage of 67 years, raising four children and enjoying many wonderful memories together.

Sam enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Spurs, the Astros and the Longhorns. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his dear friends and family.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Harriet Neuman.

He is survived by his four loving children, Brian Neuman, Alan Neuman, Lori (David) Schwartz and Paige Neuman; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Carver) Schwartz, Stephanie (Steven) Schiff, Isaac Neuman, Eva Neuman, Skyler Neuman and Noah Neuman; as well as two great grandchildren, Ari Schiff and Sophie Schiff.

Being a Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren gave him immense joy and lit up his life.

A funeral service will be held at Temple Beth-El Memorial Park, located at 1715 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218. The service is scheduled for November 19, 2025, at 3:30 pm.

Rabbi Mara Nathan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth El.
