Sandra M. James

Sandra Marie James, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday morning of February 10, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by family. She was born on April 4, 1948, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to the late Levoris Harmon Sr. and Mary Harmon (Francis).

She is survived by her children, Marisa Gibson (Michael) and Wilbert Jones (Roshan); brother, Levoris Harmon Jr.; grandchildren, Nathanial Severson, Alegna Severson (Mark Lopez), Jacob Gibson (Raye Sanchez), Alexis Gibson, Daniel Gibson, Aireale Boggess (Andrew Branson), Destiny Jones, and Cassandra Zahra. Additionally, she was blessed with six great-grandchildren, and former husband Robert James, each of whom brought immense joy into her life.

Sandra's pursuit of knowledge and her desire to help others led her to her career as a Registered Nurse, touching countless lives with her healing hands and compassionate heart. Her dedication to her profession was a testament to her selflessness and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those she cared for.

While Sandra was not a member of the military herself, she was a proud military brat. She understood the sacrifices made by our brave men and women in uniform and stood as a pillar of strength for her family during their times of service.

Beyond her professional and familial roles, Sandra was an active member of the Boys and Girls Club of America. She believed in nurturing the potential of young minds and worked to create a positive impact on the lives of children in her community.

Sandra Marie James was a beacon of love and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and guide us all.
