Sarah, you are a true servant of the Lord. Although I have never personally met you, you have taught me so much about faith in Christ. I have been following your blog courtesy of Irene Ramos and I am truly amazed at your faith. I know heaven is shining brighter and send all my prayers to your family here on earth.

I meet Sarah on her last admission to MDACC. I was her nurse and I can tell you she did more for me than I could have ever done for her. She touched all that she came in contact with. I will be praying for all those who are going on without her in this life. I know that she is waiting for ALL of us to come home.

Sarah was a true example of love and courage to all who knew her. I worked with her at Meadow Wood and her love and laughter permeated the halls of the school. Thank you Sarah for being a christian and sharing God's love to all you touched. I will listen for your laughter in heaven.

Sarah was always such a sweet person to everyone around her. Truly a testament to the saying "He always takes the best ones first." My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and husband.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. There are no words to express the deepness of your lost but know my prayers are with you and your family.

Sarah was the first friend I made at the University of Texas, on move-in day at Scottish Rite Dormitory. I had a fairly difficult transition into college, and I absolutely cannot imagine surviving that semester without Sarah's support. I always marvelled that nearly every friendship I made at the University could be traced back to Sarah. As I wrote to several members of the "SRD Herd" in a heartbroken email thread, "She is finally with the angels. Even if she was one of them all along."

Sarah, I can remember you as a little girl, walking the halls of Woodridge Elementary. Your mother scrambling to get home to both you and Brooke. I know that you are in good company in Heaven. I have grown so much since I have been reading your blog. I know that your light shines bright in heaven. I will look for you this summer in Houston, as your light will be bright over the Houston bay.

Sarah was such a wonderful girl! My cousin Thomas asked Sarah if I could stay with her at SRD one weekend to check out UT from her perspective. Though I didn't know Sarah very well from Alamo Heights, she graciously offered to let me stay with her...and we had the best time! I ended up visiting her again in the spring and deciding to live at SRD the following year. She was such a neat girl with such wonderful friends. Sarah made UT and SRD seem like the place to be! I will always be grateful for her hospitality and friendship. I enjoyed following her blog and journeying with her through though her good and bad times. She will definitely be missed. Although we never met personally, I became acquainted with Sarah's journey via my step daughter in law who catered her first wedding in August. As a family we followed her blog every day since that time up to and including her husband Eric's post on 14 February. She has touched many lives and we were touched by the strength of her faith, her purity of spirit and her tremendous courage. Unfailingly, she signposted us all to all that is truly important and in spite of her own suffering provided a beacon in this dark world a shining example to us all. Sarah was and is a truly inspirational figure who has taught us all so much, has contributed so much and that contribution will never be forgotten. We feel priviledged to have "met" Sarah albeit through her blog and both she and all of you, Eric and her family, remain in our thoughts and prayers and those of our fellow church members here in England. To Sarah's family I know how hard it is to lose a loved one. Sarah is a specially loving person, teacher, friend and child of God. I know that she willed be missed by many but also remembered by the loving way that she touched everyone that she came in contact with. Remember God is with you at this difficult time of grieving. I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Sarah today. The obituary was beautiful and really illuminated what a truly special person she was. I only knew about Sarah through my son Lonnie Walthall, who thought the world of her. As I told him in an email this morning, I didn't know Sarah - but I wish I had.

Sarah's peace with her "transition" was an inspiration for anyone that believes in Jesus Christ and claims Him as Lord and Savior. Surely He has welcomed her home with open arms
