

Heaven's grand symphony of radiance is shining brighter today as our firefly, Sarah Chidgey Hughes, has passed on in peace Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Houston after 28 years of reflecting the light of Christ to so many in her community and around the world.
Sarah's vibrant spirit has given wisdom and laughter to her Ecclesia church community, her students at Meadow Wood Elementary, refugees from Burundi, Africa, and countless others who have journeyed with her.
Her journey over the past 6 months with cancer has been a source of continued hope and inspiration for many as reflected in her blog: www.sarahchidgey.blogspot.com.
She is loved and remembered by her parents, David and Denise Chidgey; sister, Brooke Chidgey; and husband, Eric Hughes.
Sarah is also survived by her grandparents, Betty and Johnny Pawelek; as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins, Michelle and Lee Rogers, Skylar and Colton Moran; Steve and Pam Pawelek, Stephanie, Kyle, Sean, and Katie, Jillian and Steve Rountree; Chuck and Brenda Pawelek, Avery; Mary and Drew DiNovo, Jack and Beck; Henry and Mary Chidgey, Kaylan and Siva Tanuku, Marc and Linda; Joe and Terri Chidgey, Kristi and Scott.
Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bea and Bill Chidgey.
