

Sarah was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She is remembered as a friend to the friendless, and a passionate, talented musician. She attended Braun Station Elementary School, Helotes Elementary School, Judson Montessori School and Health Careers High School. While at Health Careers, she was a member of the National Junior Classical League and won first place at the national competition for her performance in Dramatic Interpretation in 2009. She graduated in 2010 and attended Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. She was enrolled to begin nursing school in January of 2017 at Texas Women’s University in Dallas.
She was raised in and loved by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life.
Music was among her greatest passions in life. From an early age, she was inclined to musical expression. She had a beautiful, soulful voice and sang wherever she went. She was a talented guitarist, pianist, and songwriter. Over the years, she played in venues in San Antonio and Dallas, Texas, and Provo, Utah. She blessed the world with the beauty of her music. Above all, Sarah will be remembered for her compassionate soul. Sarah cared deeply for people and was an example to her family of selflessness. She did everything she could to help those in need, be they lifelong friends or strangers. Many will remember her as the first person to reach out to welcome or comfort them.
She passed away on November 7th, 2016 in her home in Dallas, Texas. She was 24 years old. Her loving memories are carried by her parents, Bradley and Cynthia Prestidge, her siblings, Adam, Aaron, and Olivia Grace, her sister-in-law, CheyAnn, her nieces, Solana Grace and Farrah, her nephew Boston, and her dog Charlie.
Service will be on Saturday, November 12 at 2pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6240 UTSA Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78249. In lieu of flowers, Sarah’s family would like donations to be sent to SAMMinistries in Sarah’s honor. SAMMinistries’ mission is to prevent homelessness in San Antonio.
