I had the privilege of working with Sebastian at a residential treatment center. He was an amazing colleague and a great friend. It was always refreshing to be around him because he was consistently positive, encouraging, supportive, and always exceeded expectations.  I thought of him this morning at 3 AM on October 6th and said I’ll call him when I wake up. But something told me to search his name online, so I Googled him and saw a bereavement post. I had no idea that he’d passed, Sebastian. 😢 I’m so sad. Thank you so much for being a positive influence in my life and for the countless times you helped me increase my knowledge and understanding in many topics and for always having my back. I’m happy that I had the privilege to meet and know you. 🕊️  I will never forget you. 🤍

Sebastian was an Amazing Case Manager and friend. Although doing his job which he Loved, He loved people more!!! He gave me hope when there were days I felt I had none left. He gave me strength, kindness, & compassion for all. He was the kind of Man that others looked up to and the kind of person others should be like. I miss him so much. To Sebastians family Please know you have An Angel in Heaven and I know he's watching over you. God Bless All. I was a very blessed person to have crossed paths in this Life with such a WONDERFUL MAN!!

In our team, pranks and jokes were a constant part of our camaraderie. We always had each other's backs, but we also loved to playfully tease and surprise one another. One memorable incident that stands out was during one of our many team lunches, when Sebastian tried to prank one of our coworkers by tampering with the Parmesan container lid. I was the first to receive my food, so of course, I used the Parmesan cheese. Half of my pizza was covered in cheese. Sebastian apologized and said it was meant for one of our other coworkers; he offered to buy me lunch another day, and we all laughed. It became a running joke to supervise Sebastian when we went to a restaurant to ensure he didn't tamper with our condiments. We often played pranks on each other, had push-up challenges, played foosball, and made work fun.

When we played foosball, Sebastian was so competitive and got into the game so much that he would hit the ball too hard, and it would fly off the table every time, making our games very long. So many good memories and laughs that I'll never forget.

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with you Lafaele family during this tough time. O Lord, let perpetual light shine upon him. Rest well Seb.

Condolences to the Lafaele aiga! Sebo was my first ever friend! Have alot of memories of the Uso from the Holy Cross days, Liston College, Playing at Waitemata Rugby to catching the "115" and growing up in Glendene! I remember always talking to you in Spanish and you would not say a word.  You would just smile and laugh when I would say oh you don't speak Spanish.  My condolences to the family.  May you rest in peace.
