Shirley A. Cole Gauthier

Shirley Arlene Gauthier went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2012. She was born Shirley Arlene Cole in Hammond, Indiana on July 27, 1922 to Frank and Frances Eugenia “Jean” (Dinwiddie) Cole. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Adelbert George Gauthier. She is survived by her sons, Gary Gauthier and wife Mary (Bellingham, WA), Gregory Gauthier (Winchester, VA) and Gordon Gauthier and wife Paula (La Porte, TX); grandchildren Dawn Shirk and husband Ken (Front Royal, VA), Adrienne Gauthier (Denver, CO), Kerri Gauthier (Neuchatel, Switzerland), David Gauthier and wife Aliesha (Medford, OR), and Kristin Gauthier (La Porte, TX); great-grandchildren, Cole Shirk (Front Royal, VA) and Connor Shirk (Front Royal, VA); sister Phyllis Cole Braunlich (Broken Arrow,OK); sister-in-law Marilyn Gauthier (Richmond, IN); many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. She will be interred at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with her husband US Air Force Colonel (retired) Adelbert G. Gauthier, who preceded her in death on October 18, 2011.
