Sidney Narter, age 83, of San Antonio, Texas, died on Thursday, December 05, 2002. During WWII, he was a member of the 5th Infantry, awarded the Bronze Star as well as a Purple Heart. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a doctorate in Optometry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Beatrice Narter; and sister, Francis Ruthman. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Ezsak and husband, Lewis of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Ronald Pinkus of Port Richey, FL, and Adrian Pinkus of Costa Mesa, CA; great granddaughter, Star Murphy of Costa Mesa, CA; and brothers, Samuel Narter of Pembrook, FL and Bernard Narter of New Mexico.
