"Soco" (as she was lovingly called by our Dad) owned and operated a very successful Beauty Salon Business in Downtown San Antonio for over forty years. While her business kept her very busy, our parents, nonetheless, loved to travel the world especially after our dad's retirement. They looked forward to joining their many friends on journeys that took them all over Europe, Mexico, and South America. Our mom taught our family valuable lessons of life. Being an only child, she remained devoted to her mother who had been widowed at an early age. Our earliest memories of mom was her concern for not only our immediate family but also relatives and friends who were often in our home enjoying her delicious meals-she was an incredible cook!! Our Mom left us with wonderful treasured memories of the love and sacrifices she made for our dad and for all of us. We will miss her very much but thank God for the long life He gave her.
We are deeply thankful for the tender nurturing care she received in her own home during these past few years of ailing health early on by caregivers Lala, Bertha and Irene; subsequently during her most difficult time, by Elva and Margarita. We are also very grateful for the exceptional hospice care provided by the Embrace Hospice Group, in particular, the loving personal care provided by Nurse Sally, Fr. Jossh Carmen, Claudia and Lourdes. We are eternally grateful to these wonderful individuals who through their extraordinary care allowed us to enjoy our mother for a longer time.
