Stanley Robert Scales, 92, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born in Summitville, NY on April 24, 1923 to Casey and Anna Scales.
Stanley served his country in the United States Coast Guard with numerous tours of duty on the USS General William Mitchell during WWII. He was a graduate of Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy at Rolla. In 1950, Stanley joined Hughes Tool Company in Houston until his retirement in 1985. He was an active member at Park Place Lutheran Church in Houston for 50 years and then at Zion Lutheran Church in Helotes for 10 years.
