'I was very saddened to hear the news of Steve's passing. We went to high school together. He was a very generous, fun, and popular classmate. I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to his family.'

'If it's true we're all born equal, we don't live our lives as equals. Steve put so many smiles on so many faces I have a hard time thinking of anyone who was his equal. My son played on a rec team with Liam and anytime we saw Steve after that - at kids mass or Old Town - he would single my son out and in his gregarious way say to him "howya doing Charlie"? Years ago, by chance, I was at mass in Park City UT and whom do I see across the aisle but Steve who gives me - in the middle of mass - the warmest, most enthusiastic greeting you've ever seen. Anytime driving carpool down Royal St. after that, if I spotted Steve walking his dog, I would roll down the window and yell out - "how are things in Park City?" and he would laugh everytime. Like it was the first time I used the line on him. In a town full of self-important people, Steve stood out as one of the best guys around. An absolute prince of a man. Semper Fi'

LCTA, Safeway, driving in his car, boy scouts, king street, the park.... always devoted to his family. He didn't really know us, but he always smiled and waved at us.'
