Steve B. Lara

He was born on August 10, 1961 in Frankfurt, Germany. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son and friend. He was a 1980 graduate of John Jay High School. Steve worked at Randolph Airforce Base as an aircraft mechanic for the past 30 years. He will be missed for his kindness, sincerity, giving nature and especially for his sense of humor and practical jokes. Steve was loved by many.

He was pre-deceased in death by his grandmother, Emilia Cantu and his step-father, Raul Arredondo.

He is survived by his mother, Colette Lara; father and stepmother, Trinidad and Sylvia Lara; sons, Brian Lara and Sean Lara; daughter Alyson Bohmfalk and husband Zachary; grandson, Sean Hayden Lara; brothers, Herve Lara and wife Suzanne, Richard Lara, and Jose Arredondo; nieces, Catherine, Michelle, Nicole and Samantha; and nephew, Jose Arredondo, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
