

Susan Leigh Jones, age 68, passed away on April 29, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, where she spent much of her life surrounded by family, friends, and the community she cherished.
Susan was a woman of vibrant spirit and many passions. A devoted member of Alamo United Methodist Church, she gave generously of her time as a volunteer, finding joy and purpose in serving others. Her faith and kindness were evident in the way she lived and connected with those around her.
Susan was a proud Aggie alum from Texas A&M University. She was incredibly bright and confident which aided in her flourishing career as an accountant - beginning her career at Valero in San Antonio, then moving to Houston, Maryland, and New York. She ended her career as a natural gas trader for BMO in Times Square.
From sample sales in New York to T.J. Maxx in Texas, Susan was known for her impeccable sense of style. She was truly a fashionista who delighted in dressing with elegance and flair. She had a love for clothing and took pride in expressing herself through fashion, especially in the color pink. Beyond her sense of style, she was creative at heart—she enjoyed crafting and painting, often sharing her artistic talents with loved ones.
Susan also found happiness on the golf course, where she combined her love of the game with her sociable nature. She loved to travel and all throughout her life she was led to all kinds of people and places. Susan was extremely fond of her friends both new and old and she delighted in experiencing life with them. Along with her love for people, she had a special affection for dogs especially her furry companions over the years.
Family was at the center of Susan’s life. After she retired, she moved home to San Antonio where she spent many of her days with the people she loved. She was survived by her sister Diane & husband Scott, brother Mark, nephew Doug, and nieces Olivia and Katelyn. She deeply loved and cared for them and took great joy in their lives and milestones. Her family holds just as much adoration for Susan as she did for them. She was a natural leader of the family and a great role model who was looked up to by many.
Known for her gatherings, Susan was a natural hostess who loved to entertain, bringing people together with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Whether hosting at home or traveling to new destinations, Susan embraced life with enthusiasm and a genuine love for connection.
A true social butterfly, Susan formed lasting friendships wherever she went. Her warmth, style, creativity, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
