Tatsuko Rassmussen

Known affectionately as "Tats", Tatsuko was born in Fukuoka, Japan to Gunpachi and Kata Tomono on November 4th 1939. She went to school in Fukuoka, Japan, and worked in her family's fish market for ten years before marriage. She married Chief Master Sergeant Dennis Rassmussen on November 10th 1970 in Fukuoka, Japan. She was active in her own hobbies such as knitting, making punch pictures, sewing, and puzzle solving. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo with her beloved friends on a weekly basis. Grandma Tats will be remembered and missed as generous, loving, and caring, and the selfless heart of her family's many gatherings around the world.

Tatsuko is preceded in death by her parents and adored sister Sumiko. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dennis, her son Ken, daughter-in-law Jennifer, and grandsons Lane, Brayden, and Chase.

Tatsuko is a member of Soka Gakkai International Buddhist community.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
